FORMATION OF SOFT SKILLS IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHER TRAINING IN HIGHER EDUCATION

In the context of transformational social transformations and dynamic innovation processes, the domestic education system is undergoing significant changes. The implementation of modernization changes involves a review of traditional models and methods of teaching, and therefore there is a need for specialists who are able to identify and realize their own internal potential. The paradigm of education, which is based on personal and self-development, determines the need for a creative approach to the educational process, mastering the ability to independently acquire knowledge and find solutions to educational and professional tasks. Today, in order to become a successful professional, it is not enough to have only encyclopedic knowledge and experience.
«Soft skills» are social, communicative, leadership, team, thinking skills. Soft skills are necessary in any type of activity, which determines the need for their formation starting from school and continuing this process in higher education. These include the ability to communicate, work in a team, persuade, solve problems, make decisions, manage one's time, motivate oneself and others.
The structural components of the «soft skills» of a future teacher are the following components: socio-communicative, emotional, cognitive, prognostic, managerial, acmeological, innovative.
The educational process in a higher education institution has significant potential for the formation of «soft skills» in future teachers. In the process of educational and, in the future, professional activities of a teacher, «soft skills» acquire the meaning of necessary professional skills.
The purpose of the article is to analyze the formation of «soft skills» in the process of professional training of future teachers.
Methodological basis of the article is philosophical, pedagogical theories and thesis that reveals conceptual approaches to the researched issues.
The scientific novelty lies in considering the purposeful formation of soft skills in the process of teacher training in higher education institutions.
Conclusions. The result of the formation of «soft skills» in future teachers is the development of an active creative position and the formation of effective strategies of behavior regarding future professional activities. «Soft skills» include communicative skills and social interaction skills, some internal characteristics of the personality. They cover a significant range of skills, behavioral models, value orientations, and personal qualities that allow a teacher to effectively interact with others, collaborate with the team, and achieve the set goal.
