Abstract

The purpose of the study is to substantiate the pedagogical potential and determine the effective ways of applying fitness technologies in the professional development of future specialists in physical education and sports. The paper reveals the influence of modern fitness technologies on the development of students’ professional, methodological, and digital competencies, as well as their role in updating the content of professional training.

The research methodology is based on the analysis of scientific sources, systematization and comparison of data, pedagogical observation, surveys of students and trainers, and generalization of the experience of fitness centers. Innovative, competency-based, and activity-oriented approaches are applied, allowing for a comprehensive study of the practical potential of fitness technologies in the training of future specialists. In addition, elements of a pedagogical experiment were used to verify the effectiveness of introducing fitness technologies into the educational process, along with quantitative and qualitative analytical methods to ensure objective evaluation of the results.

The scientific novelty lies in clarifying the concept of «fitness technologies» within professional education and defining their significance as an innovative tool for the professional development of higher education students majoring in «Physical Education and Sports». The study formulates pedagogical conditions that ensure the effective integration of fitness technologies into the educational process and outlines their impact on the formation of modern professional competencies.

The conclusions indicate that the implementation of fitness technologies increases the effectiveness of professional training, enhances students’ independent activity, and promotes the development of digital literacy and coaching skills. The integration of fitness technologies into the educational process is an important factor in the modernization of education and can be used to improve the training of future specialists in the field of physical education and sports.
