Abstract

The article discusses the role of the head of a sports institution in forming an effective team of coaches and teachers. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the modern system of physical culture and sports in Ukraine needs highly effective management decisions aimed at developing the professional potential of the coaching staff and ensuring the stability of the institution. An effective team of coaches is the basis for training athletes, implementing the training process, and achieving the strategic goals of a sports facility. At the same time, there is a lack of a scientifically sound model for managing a coaching team, which determines the need for research to identify the key factors for effective team building and the role of the manager in this process.

Рurpose of the study is to analyze and determine the role of the head of a sports institution in managing an effective team of coaches and teachers, based on theoretical analysis and practical experience.

Methodology included a comprehensive approach combining analysis of scientific publications, content analysis of management documents of the sports institution, and personal professional experience.

Scientific novelty. For the first time, a comprehensive analysis of the management mechanisms through which the head of a sports institution forms a coaching team has been conducted.

Conclusions. In the process of theoretical analysis and professional experience, it has been established that the head of a sports institution performs a number of key functions that determine the effectiveness of the coaching staff. These include strategic planning for human resource development, organizing the professional adaptation of new coaches, supporting and motivating staff, creating conditions for teamwork and coordination of coaches' activities, evaluating performance, and developing organizational culture. Particular attention is paid to the role of the manager's leadership qualities, which are manifested in the ability to think strategically, communicate effectively, and build trust and partnerships within the team.

It has been determined that the manager of a sports facility is a key factor in forming an effective team of coaches and instructors. His or her management activities determine the level of motivation, professional development, and cohesion of the team, which, in turn, affects the results of the school's students' sports training. Successful implementation of management functions contributes to the stability of the sports institution, increases its competitiveness, and ensures a high level of professional training for athletes.
