Abstract

This article is devoted to the issue of the scientific-pedagogical heritage which was made by the Mathematical Disciplines’ teachers of the T.H. Shevchenko National University «Chernihiv Colehium» in the context of a historical development of the mathematical chairs.
Article's purpose is dedicated to show the main stages in the formation and development of the T.H. Shevchenko National University «Chernihiv Colehium» mathematical departments and to analyze the scientific achievements of their teachers in the second half of the twentieth century.
Methodology. The following methods were used for achieving the articles aim: studying, analysis and generalization of archives.
Scientific novelty. On the basis of the archives’ studing and analysis were set and described: the chairs’ stages of the mathematical disciplines and was made the chronological systematization of their evolution during all historical period of the university. The working staff, organization of the educational process and scientific work were also described. The scientific-pedagogical heritage of the chairs’ heads and teachers was also taken into consideration and analyzed. The scheme of the mathematical chairs’ development was also built from 1916 to 2019.
A particular attention was given to the historical establishment of the scientific-mathematical school and the study of the founders and followers’ scientific-pedagogical work.
Conclusions. Due to the archives’ analysis was set that in the second half of the twentieth century the Mathematical Disciplines’ chairs of the T.H. Shevchenko National University «Chernihiv Colehium» were the developing center of the mathematical education in Ukraine which had a significant influence on the formation of a scientific mathematical thought. Historical and methodological studies of the scientists-innovators’ creative heritage are important both in the context of generalizing and popularizing the achievements of mathematical and methodological science, as well as stimulating modern scientists, educators, students to participate in scientific-methodological explorations, which are relevant to the issues of development the national education system.
