Abstract

The relevance of the research is due to the fact that the traumatic impact of military events on the psyche of adults and children significantly affects their emotional sphere. Children are the most sensitive to such difficult situations. Now little attention has been paid to the study of the question what actually happens to the mental health of a child who goes into a situation of war for an extended period of time, whether his emotional sphere is able to maintain a high level of constant tension. Children with special needs, as a vulnerable category, react most acutely to adaptation processes, which prompts them to adapt to various conditions, however, at the same time, violations may occur in all mental processes.
The purpose of the article is to analyze the significance and possibilities of correction the negative emotional states of children with special educational needs as a factor in motivating their educational and cognitive activities in the conditions of martial law in Ukraine.
The research methodology is based on the results of scientific research on corrective and developmental education for children with special psychophysical development (I. Bekh, V. Bondar, V. Sinyov, V. Tarasun, L. Fomicheva, M. Sheremet, etc.); on the special features of social and psychological assistance to persons affected by war events (A. Boychenko, V. Zlyvkov, L. Prokhorenko, D. Romanovska, M. Slyusarevskyi, etc.).
Scientific novelty. It was found that educational and cognitive activity is a purposeful, organized process of cognition, which involves the active assimilation of knowledge, abilities and skills in specially created conditions and has a binary character, which is reflected in the interconnected activities of the teacher and the student.
The purpose of correctional and rehabilitation work is to achieve the potentially possible level of education of children with special educational needs and to form in them compensatory methods of activity with the correction of violations of a secondary nature, mastery of skills and methods of activity in accordance with their individual psychophysiological capabilities, acquisition of independence and vital competences for successful further integration into society based on the competence approach by stabilizing their emotional state.
Conclusions. The analysis of modern scientific approaches to the problem of the emotional state of students with special educational needs showed that both in normal and with limited health opportunities, the emotional sphere of children performs a number of vital functions and develops according to certain objective laws. The emotional sphere of children with health disabilities has its own specific patterns of development, which include a certain dependence of development on the structure and depth of the defect; the presence of potential compensatory opportunities.
According to the fact that children, which are systematically under stressful conditions of war, have damaged emotional sphere. It is characterized by negative emotional states, which negatively affects motivation for educational and cognitive activities.
