FORMATION OF INTERCULTURAL AND COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCIES OF STUDENTSIN THE STUDY-COURSES OF EUROPE'S HISTORY AND CULTURE

In the context of current tasks of European integration, one of the main aspects of the activities of educational institutions should be the formation of modern soft skills. Its important component is number of intercultural and communicative competences, which are among the most relevant «future skills».
The aim of the article is to outline the most effective methods of forming of intercultural and communicative competencies by means of project activities in the study-courses of European history and culture.
The research methodology was based on the use of conceptual and cognitive approaches. Based on many years of experience in implementing projects aimed at studying the history and culture of the European Union, the authors offer the most effective methods for students to learn European values, everyday culture and communication in a multiethnic, multicultural environment full of intensive migration processes.
The scientific novelty is in outlining the specifics of the formation of a harmonious structure of intercultural and communicative competencies, which is the balance of national and European socio-cultural values in the system of education and upbringing. In testing this theory, the authors gave the main role to interactive classes, trainings, project design and historical modeling.
Conclusions: in the process of applying of innovative forms and methods of work there was traced out the increase in the ability and readiness of students for intercultural and communicative activities and interest in learning, increasing the level of creativity, ability to perform creative tasks. Students have become active participants in conferences, round tables, historical modeling on the history of the idea of European unity, EU cultural policy, preservation of European cultural heritage and promoting intercultural dialogue in the European community.
