PROBLEMS OF FORMATION OF SOFT SKILLS IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING THE HISTORY OF UKRAINIAN CULTURE IN HEI

Addressing the problem of teaching the history of Ukrainian culture is due to the need to understand the place and role of culture in the history of Ukraine and in the modern world. The discipline «History of Ukrainian Culture» is a leader in the cycle of humanities. The quality and practical significance of the discipline depends on the level of development of soft skills in both teachers and students.
The purpose of this research is to substantiate the need to find new modern forms of teaching the history of Ukrainian culture and the formation on this basis of soft skills for both teachers and students of higher education, which will help modernize and qualitatively change the learning process.
The methodological basis of this study is a competency-based approach to understanding the problem of training future history teachers.
The scientific novelty of the study is the selection, systematization and classification of soft skills (soft skills), analysis of methods, tools and techniques for their formation in the teaching of the course «History of Ukrainian Culture».
The most rated skills (soft skills) are: communication, teamwork, creative thinking, information management, emotional intelligence, leadership skills.
Methods of development (soft skills) in the process of teaching the history of Ukrainian culture are self-presentation, communication, teamwork, project management, implementation of cultural and artistic projects, multimedia education, digital installations, photo / video ART, interactive forms of learning.
Conclusions. Competence approach and the formation of flexible skills (soft skills) contribute to the understanding that the skills acquired in the learning process – is the baggage that will make a person competitive in any field of activity.
