USE OF A COMPUTER PROGRAM DURING MEASUREMENT OF FUTURE PSYCHOLOGISTS’ SCIENCE COMPETENCE FORMATION IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

Article’s purpose is to substantiate the feasibility of using computer program in measuring the levels of formation of future psychologists’ science competence in higher education institutions.

Methodology provides measuring the future psychologists’ need to achieve the goal, the direction of learning motivation; determining the level of awareness of students-psychologists with modern achievements in the fields of neurobiology, cognitive neurobiology, neuromedicine and neurotechnology; level of emotionality; willpower; level of reflexivity.

Scientific novelty. The computer program «BSS: diagnostic measurement of the levels of future psychologists’ science competence» formation is designed to obtain information about the state of formation of future psychologists’ science competence, which is interpreted as an integrative personal quality manifested in the ability of future psychologists to use a holistic system of fundamental science knowledge, which is based on the latest achievements of science, skills, experience and values formed during science preparation in solving life problems and approving professional decisions to provide them with scientific explanation and justification of the correctness of decisions.

Conclusions. The represented computer program gives us the possibility to measure the levels of future psychologists’ science competence formation, the dynamics of their changes as a separate needs-semantic, cognitive-intellectual, functional-competence, personality-regulatory and reflexive-analytical criteria in general. It is noted that the results of diagnostic measurements obtained with the help of this computer program can be the basis for correction and determination of the main directions of improving the future psychologists’ science preparation in higher education institutions, as well as the basis for outlining the most effective technologies, methods, tools and pedagogical conditions of its implementation. It is emphasized that the prospect of further research is to develop the model for implementation of the suggested computer program in higher education institutions of Ukraine.
