Abstract

The specificity of teaching biochemistry at the Faculty of Physical Education is related to the fact that students, whose level of general biological preparation usually does not exceed the average, have to master the complex educational material in one semester. This requires a special organization of the educational process on the discipline «Biochemistry» at the Faculty of Physical Education, which would, compared to traditional study, contribute to better mastering of the material by students.

Article's purpose is to consider the peculiarities of the organization educational process in biochemistry with students of specialties 014.11 Secondary education (Physical Culture) and 017 Physical Culture and Sports of the T.H. Shevchenko National University «Chernihiv Colehium» (NUCHC).

Methodology. The work was performed on the basis of a competency-based approach to the preparation physical culture teachers and specialists in physical education and sports; methods of analysis and synthesis, systematization and generalization of relevant scientific information are used.

Scientific novelty. The article for the first time considers the organization of the educational process in biochemistry with students of specialties 014.11 Secondary Education (Physical Culture) and 017 Physical Culture and Sports of NUCHC. Features of the lecture and laboratory-practical parts of this course are shown.

Conclusions. Peculiarities of the organization educational process in biochemistry with students of specialties 014.11 Secondary Education (Physical Culture) and 017 Physical Culture and Sports testify to the need to abandon the traditional teaching of biochemistry for nonbiological specialties of high school. The use of improved multimedia visualization, active teaching methods, differentiated tasks for independent work in the classroom and individual creative tasks with the involving LMS Moodle facilitates the mastering of biochemical educational material by students, while providing the necessary competencies. The prospect for further research should be considered the creation of a holistic teaching methodic structure of the course of biochemistry and methodological developments on some of its topics, which can then be designed as a printed workbook in this discipline for students at the Faculty of Physical Education.
