The theoretical generalization and a new solution of the scientific problem in the form of development and scientific substantiation of the experimental program on health swimming focused on men of the first mature age are carried out in the work. Health swimming is the most popular and safe sport for people of all ages and physical condition of the human body.
At the same time, those who practice face difficulties in choosing the means and methods of recreational swimming and engage spontaneously without a training program and special knowledge. The step-by-step solution of problems when planning recreational swimming is a necessary condition for the effectiveness of the training process.
The scientific and methodological literature presents the organization of the process of health swimming, but in our opinion, there is no clear scheme of factors that can qualitatively optimize the training process and teach those who are engaged in health swimming to approach the planning of their classes.
The authors of the article analyse and form the main factors that determine the effectiveness of recreational swimming for the first adult age.
The goal is to identify the factors that determine the effectiveness of recreational swimming for men of the first mature age.
Methodology. The following research methods were used to solve the tasks, namely: theoretical analysis of scientific and educational literature; pedagogical observation; pedagogical experiment; testing the functional state of the body; testing of special physical fitness; methods of mathematical statistics.
The scientific novelty lies in the addition and systematization of factors and practical recommendations for the training process of recreational swimming among men of the first mature age.
