Abstract

The article updates the problem of finding the ways to raise the level of high school students’ motor activity, singles out movement features, in particular, endurance and coordination that at high school age require further development and improvement; determines the peculiarities of endurance and movement coordination development in high school students.

The purpose of the article is to determine the peculiarities of endurance and movement coordination development in high school students on the basis of their physical development and fitness; identify and substantiate the factors that have a positive effect on increasing the level of high school students’ motor activity.

Methodology. The article uses theoretical methods: comparative analysis of regulatory and legal documents in the field of education, dissertation theses, psychological, pedagogical, and methodological literature, Internet resources, analysis and generalization of researchers’ scientific approaches to the issue of endurance and movement coordination development in high school students.

Scientific novelty. The peculiarities of endurance and movement coordination development in high school students on the basis of their physical development and fitness have been identified and analysed.

Conclusions. It is concluded that an important task aimed at preserving and strengthening the high school students’ health, the development and improvement of motor features, in particular, endurance and movement coordination while physical training. The scientific literature analysis on the issue has proved the unanimity of researchers’ opinions regarding the fact that there are numerous opportunities for the development and improvement of motor qualities, in particular, endurance and movement coordination at high school age. That is why considering students’ physical development and fitness determines the peculiarities of the specified motor qualities development in high school students and ensures the effectiveness of this process.
