Abstract

The purpose of the article is to characterize the motor skills and actions of high school students in the context of special physical and technical-tactical training in volleyball classes in senior classes of general secondary education institutions.

Methodology. In the research process, a number of empirical and theoretical methods were used, in particular, analysis and synthesis to develop the content of the variable module «Volleyball» in the school physical education program for students of grades 10–11 and scientific works on the research problem, as well as the composition of the selected material in accordance with the purpose and tasks of our research; comparative to determine the features of special physical and technical-tactical training of complete general secondary education students in the process of training to play volleyball in grades 10 and 11; generalization and systematization for formulating conclusions.

In the process of scientific research, the provisions of several methodological approaches were taken into account, in particular: competence as the basis for reforming the education system at the current stage to take into account the requirements of the school program for the formation of key skills in high school students and subject competencies during volleyball training; activity, which assumes that training to play volleyball takes place by involving students in educational and cognitive activities; personally oriented, because learning motor actions of high school students while playing volleyball involves taking into account the individual anatomical and psychological features of the development of high school students.

Scientific novelty. The article characterizes the motor skills and actions of high school students in the context of special physical and technical-tactical training in volleyball classes in senior classes of general secondary education institutions.

Conclusions. The analysis of scientific research made it possible to state that the basic elements of volleyball technique consist of separate motor skills that play an important role in the planning and organization of the process of training to play volleyball, and also affect the effectiveness of mastering this game type of sports activity by high school students.

As a result of the analysis of the variable module «Volleyball» from the school physical education program, the motor skills and actions that should be formed in the process of educational and cognitive activity of high school students were characterized, standards were determined that allow the teacher to diagnose the level of formation of motor skills and actions in students of full general secondary education.
