Abstract

The purpose of the work. To analyze European experience of organiztion of distance learning, identify relevant for Ukrainian education models of distance educational process.

The methodological basis of the research consists of general scientific and specific-historical principles and methods selected according to the stated objectives. Additionally, general scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison and generalization were employed.

The novelty of the study consists in the analysis of an actual problem, which holds theoretical and practical significance for the organization of the domestic educational process. The paper examines European practices of distance education, the incorporation of the best elements of which will diversify and enrich learning during times of war.

Conclusions. Ensuring high educational standards under any conditions is the main task of domestic higher education. By utilizing the European experience in the development of distance learning, it is possible to outline further prospects for improving the organization of the educational process in Ukraine. Implementing practical tools, educational platforms, information and communication technologies developed in European Union countries will help to modernize teaching and learning processes during quarantine restrictions and wartime.
