Abstract

The purpose of work is a qualitative analysis of the psychological-pedagogical, speech-language and medical source based on the problem of covering the causes of stuttering in children.
Methodology. The methodological basis of the study was: the theory of gradual formation of mental actions (P. Halperin, N. Talizina, etc.) and the central organization of movements and oral speech (M. Bernstein, M. Vvedensky, O. Luria, O. Ukhtomsky, etc.); the doctrine of methods of complex diagnostics and correction of speech development disorders in children (L. Volkova, K. Karlepp, R. Lalaeva, V. Lubovsky, O. Luria, O. Mastyukova, O. Orfinskaya, Y. Ribtsun, E. Sobotovich, N. Traugott, etc.); provisions on patterns and features of mental, psychophysical, and personal development of children (L. Bozhovich, L. Vygotsky, V. Krutetsky, M. Lisina, V. Merlin, etc.); evolutionary-dynamic, neuropsychological approach to the study of children with speech disorders (T. Akhutina, T. Wiesel, T. Volkovskaya, G. Semenovich, T. Fotekova, L. Tsvetkova, etc.); the concept of the structure of linguistic knowledge, the mechanisms of their acquisition and the peculiarities of mastering speech activity at the practical level in the process of ont- and dysontogenesis (V. Beltyukov, L. Vygotsky, M. Zhinkin, N. Zhukov, M. Zeeman, I. Zimnya, O. Leontiev, R. Levin and others).
The following methods were used: theoretical – analysis of scientific literature on the problem of research, sources of the Internet; a historical method for studying the causes of stuttering in chronological order; empirical-theoretical – problem-targeted, comparative, methods of abstraction, analysis, synthesis, analogy to find out the links between past and present, generalization, systematization and interpretation of the data being studied.
The scientific novelty is to cover an expanded set of possible causes of stuttering in the modern contingent of older preschool children.
Conclusions. The problem of the etiology of stuttering has been and remains relevant to the field of speech therapy, special psychology and medicine. Despite the large number of scientific investigations into the cause of stuttering, there is still no single conception of vision for speech disorder. A detailed analysis of the causes of stuttering in children will allow us to re-identify the possible forms of this disorder and to identify appropriate educational routes in the work with older stuttering children.
