The methodology of the study presents a combination of the methods of analysis, generalization and psychology of education and upbringing process.
Scientific novelty is to create and propose an author`s vision of Taras Shevchenko`s thoughts as for aesthetics and aesthetical education as well as for aesthetical upbringing since point of view of possibility of usage of these thoughts for lectures and seminars on aesthetics optimization in particular.
Conclusion. One can find Taras Shevchenko`s corresponding ideas while exploring his literary legacy – his letter to a Polish artist-amateur Bronislav Zaleskyi (1853) and his «Diary» (1857–1858). To our regret, Taras Shevchenko did not appreciate aesthetics in general: he underlined that to study the history of the fine arts and enjoy works by famous artists was incomparably better than to learn aesthetical theory explicitly. According to Shevchenko`s “Diary” it was bad impression of lectures on aesthetics by scientists Alexander Galich and Vasyl` Grygorovych he got being a student that provoked his strong antipathy to «philosophies and aesthetics». At the same time taking such thoughts into consideration can help modern teacher to provide students with high-quality aesthetical education. Studying Taras Shevchenko`s antiaesthetical ideas, a teacher gets knowledge about some possible serious difficulties in communicating with students (especially with future artists). Thus, he / she would be able to correct his / her lectures, paying attention to correlation between theoretical material and illustrations in particular. Of course, aesthetics needs examples one find in the sphere of the fine arts. However, as a kind of philosophical science aesthetics should not be deprived of its developed constructive theoretical dimension.
