INFORMATION LITERACY AS A KEY ELEMENT IN THE TRAINING OF FUTURE LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE TEACHERS

The purpose of the article is to characterize the features of training Ukrainian language and literature teachers in the context of information literacy based on methods of analysis and synthesis of scientific sources, electronic resources, and pedagogical observation.
Methodology. A comprehensive set of research methods was applied, including: theoretical methods: analysis of linguistic, psychological, and pedagogical literature on the research problem; synthesis and generalization; comparison; processing the experience of university teachers; defining the conceptual framework of the research. Empirical Methods: observation and analysis of pedagogical phenomena and processes; collective and individual discussions to identify the fundamental principles of using information resources in the course on teaching methods for the Ukrainian language.
Scientific Novelty. The article emphasizes that the use of modern interactive technologies and methodologies for developing information literacy, which include critical text analysis, interactive learning, and fostering ethical responsibility, will contribute to the training of future specialists. Exercises and tasks designed to form integrated competencies in future language and literature teachers, combining linguistic, literary, informational, and media components, are discussed. The article demonstrates how information literacy helps future language and literature teachers adapt to the challenges of the modern information society and effectively use information resources in the educational process.
Conclusions. The inclusion of information literacy in the training of future language and literature teachers is a necessary step to ensure their professional competence and effective adaptation to the conditions of the modern information society. The integration of information literacy contributes to enhancing the professional competence of future language and literature teachers, their ability to effectively interact with students, and adapt to new challenges in the educational environment.
