INFLUENCE OF INTERNET COMMUNICATION ON THE SPEECH CULTURE OF STUDENTS OF HIGHER EDUCATION

The purpose of the article is to find out the influence of Internet communication on the speech culture of students of higher education.
Methodology. Various methods were used in the research process, in particular: analysis of the legal framework and scientific literature on the research problem – in order to determine the state of development of the issue and outline the prospects for its research; comparison – to compare the views of different scientists on the investigated problem; induction and deduction, systematization and generalization – for formulating conclusions. To find out the attitude of colleagues and students of higher education to the raised problem, an anonymous questionnaire was conducted in GoogleForms, in which students of higher education – future specialists of the of the State Criminal-Executive Service of Ukraine and students of the T. H. Shevchenko National University «Chernihiv Colehium».
The research was carried out on the basis of a combination of the provisions of a number of methodological approaches, in particular: competence (to determine the peculiarities of the formation of students’ speech culture), activity (involvement of students of higher education in active educational activities to activate thinking processes), axiological (for the formation of value and worldview guidelines of future specialists) – which are applied on the basis of complementarity and compliance with the purpose of the study.
Scientific novelty. The article analyzes the peculiarities of Internet communication among modern youth, formulates recommendations for overcoming the influence of Internet communication on the speech culture of students of higher education.
Conclusions. As a result of the analysis, it was established that modern students of higher education – future specialists of the of the State Criminal-Executive Service of Ukraine and future teachers – use slang during communication in the network space, which simplifies communication and contributes to the formation of a unique culture. The Ukrainian literary language in the conditions of Internet communication undergoes certain transformations at the lexical and syntactic levels, which affects the formation of the speech culture of future specialists.
A number of recommendations have been formulated that make it possible to increase the effectiveness of the work of professors and teaching staff in the process of forming the speech culture of students of higher education.
