DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS' COHERENT SPEECH IN LESSONS OF THE LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE FIELD IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE «NEW UKRAINIAN SCHOOL»

The goal is to characterize the methods and techniques of developing students' coherent speech in lessons of the language and literature field (Ukrainian language, Ukrainian and foreign literature) in the conditions of the «New Ukrainian School».
Methodology. In the process of scientific research, the following theoretical research methods were applied: a comprehensive analysis of the legislative and regulatory framework, pedagogical and methodological literature on the research problem, which, in combination with the synthesis method, made it possible to substantiate the theoretical principles of the development of students' coherent speech in lessons of the language and literature field; methods of generalization and systematization, which made it possible to formulate conclusions. In addition, a number of empirical methods were applied, in particular, the study and generalization of the professional experience of teachers of secondary education institutions in Chernihiv on the stated problem, targeted observation of lessons of the Ukrainian language and literature, foreign literature in secondary school, as a result of which a conclusion was made about the need to find optimal methods and teaching techniques for the effective development of coherent speech. The study was carried out taking into account the provisions of a number of methodological approaches, in particular, competency-based, activity-based, systemic, synergistic and axiological, which ensured a comprehensive approach and objectivity in solving the specified problem.
Scientific novelty. The author of this article analyze the development of coherent speech in lessons of the language and literature branch as a methodological problem, identify effective teaching methods and techniques that are advisable to use to increase the efficiency of this process.
Conclusions. The analysis of methodological works on the research problem gives grounds for the conclusion that scientists attach great importance to the development of oral and written speech of students in the context of lessons of the language and literature branch, consider it the key to effective educational activity in general. In the context of updating the methodological tools In the context of updating the methodological tools in the conditions of the «New Ukrainian School», the feasibility of using a number of teaching methods and techniques, both traditional and those requiring the use of online services, is substantiated. In particular, the methods and exercises «Fishbowl», «Cubbing», «Take a position», «Bus stop», writing an essay «One minute», etc. aroused special interest among students.
