METHODOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF TEACHING THE COURSE «UKRAINIAN CULTURE: EUROPEAN CIVILIZATION CONTEXT»

The article outlines the conceptual aspects of teaching the course «Ukrainian Culture: European Civilizational Context» for higher education students. Attention is focused on the methodological aspects of teaching the specified course, through the introduction of Ukrainian culture into the European civilizational space. Prospects for the application of comparative analysis are revealed, which reveals new opportunities for a thorough understanding of its essential foundations.
The purpose of the article is to outline the methodological foundations of the author's teaching of the course «Ukrainian Culture: European Civilizational Context», which opens up new prospects on the path to self-identification and self-determination in the world cultural space.
Research methodology. To achieve the set goal, a systematic approach is used, where Ukrainian culture is perceived as part of the world cultural space, but attention is focused on its phenomenological foundations, which have certain features that have acquired the status of a phenomenon of Ukrainian culture. It is the identification of ways to the manifestation of the phenomenon of Ukrainian culture as such, through appeal to historical and cultural influences, echoes of cultural manifestations of other cultures, transformation of something foreign into something our own, or vice versa, and finally the determination of the essential connection with the European civilizational space.
The scientific novelty of the study lies in the attempt to develop and substantiate one’s own approach to teaching the course «Ukrainian Culture: European Civilizational Context», which can become a step towards self-awareness and self-identification.
Conclusions. During the study, the author came to the conclusion that the outlined methodological foundations of teaching the course «Ukrainian Culture: European Civilizational Context» make it possible to realize it in the systemic field of world (European) culture in which Ukrainian culture reveals its own phenomenality, but has certain cultural landmarks, the so-called vectors of attraction, which connect Ukrainian culture to the European civilizational space.
