Abstract

The article analyzes the specifics of forming the professional image of a future higher education teacher during master’s training. The concept of «professional image», its formative factors, and the role of pedagogical practice, self-reflection, and the professional environment in shaping image characteristics are considered. Pedagogical conditions and organizational mechanisms for the effective integration of image formation into the content of master's training are outlined.

Purpose. To reveal the essence and pedagogical conditions for the formation of the professional image of a future higher education teacher during master’s training; to determine the influence of the educational environment and professional interaction on the development of image-related personal characteristics.

Methodology. The study used a set of methods: analysis of scientific literature on imageology and higher education pedagogy; a systemic-structural approach; modeling of pedagogical conditions; empirical methods including observation, questionnaires, and reflective analysis of master's students’ professional activities.

Scientific novelty. The content of the concept “professional image of a higher education teacher” in the context of master’s training is clarified; for the first time, a model of step-by-step image formation of a future teacher through the integration of academic, research, and practical activities is proposed.

Conclusions. The formation of a professional image of a future higher education teacher is a significant component of master’s training that affects the effectiveness of further professional activity. Systematic organization of the educational process focused on developing personal and professional characteristics contributes to the creation of a positive image that meets the requirements of the modern academic environment.
