Abstract

The relevance of the article is due to the urgent need for high-quality human resources for the socio-economic development of the country under martial law. At the same time, at the legislative level, the priority is given to improving the level of health and physical fitness of citizens, and to forming and activating their personal need for health protection, physical culture and recreation activities, and healthy lifestyle.

The purpose of the work is to highlight the features of the methodology for forming pedagogical competence of applicants for higher physical education and pedagogical education and to suggest ways to improve it.

Scientific novelty. It consists in substantiating the main directions of improving the methodology of pedagogical training of future physical education teachers during their studies at a higher educational institution of physical education.

Conclusions: Pedagogical training of applicants for higher physical education and pedagogical education should be distinguished by the systemic nature of the content, be based on the latest scientific achievements, aiming at a comprehensive solution to the current tasks of developing their pedagogical competence, a purposeful restructuring of the consciousness of all subjects of physical education and pedagogical education at higher education institutions in the direction of a holistic vision of the process of schoolchildren’s physical education.

The content of pedagogical training of future physical education teachers at higher education institutions of physical education provides for: integration of theoretical and methodological psychological and pedagogical knowledge, development of practical skills and abilities of pedagogical activity in the field of physical culture, various forms of self-educational activity that contribute to personal self-development and professional self-improvement of applicants for physical education and pedagogical education. In further research, it is necessary to develop issues of improving educational and methodological support and educational technologies for training physical education teachers at the undergraduate and graduate levels; a comprehensive analysis of pedagogical support for physical education and health programs and technologies, etc.
