The article examines the issue of individualization in physical education among university students in the context of blended learning and martial law. Individualization is defined as a pedagogical approach that considers the physiological, psychophysical, and motivational characteristics of students to enhance the effectiveness and attractiveness of physical activity sessions. The study outlines key principles of individualization, such as differentiated workload, baseline motor fitness assessment, and the role of self-monitoring and feedback. The paper describes methods for implementing individualized approaches, including multi-level groups, personalized programs, and free choice of physical activities. It concludes that individualization is a key tool for improving students' physical condition, reducing the risk of overexertion, and forming sustainable healthy lifestyle habits.
Purpose of the Study. To analyze the theoretical foundations and pedagogical conditions for the effective individualization of physical education for students, and to determine key principles, methods, and practical strategies for implementing personalized approaches within a blended learning environment.
Research Methodology. The methodology is based on a systemic and competency-based approach. Methods used include analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature, normative documents, comparative analysis, generalization, modeling, and pedagogical forecasting regarding the forms and means of implementing individualization in students’ physical education.
Scientific Novelty. The concept of individualization in physical education is clarified within the context of modern educational challenges. Practical mechanisms for implementing personalized approaches in physical education under blended learning and wartime restrictions are identified. Pedagogical conditions that support the formation of individualized physical development trajectories among students are substantiated.
Conclusions. The individualization of physical education plays a vital role in enhancing the effectiveness of the learning process by adapting physical activities to the individual needs, abilities, and fitness levels of higher education students. This approach is grounded in the principles of considering physiological characteristics, motivation, self-monitoring, and the gradual development of physical qualities. Implementing personalized physical education programs contributes to improving students' health and fostering sustainable healthy lifestyle habits. However, the implementation of individualized approaches faces several challenges, including limited infrastructure, low student motivation, a shortage of qualified instructors, and rigid educational programs. Addressing these issues requires systematic modernization of the educational environment, the training of new-generation specialists, the introduction of flexible curricular models, and the use of digital tools for monitoring students’ physical condition.
