FORMATION OF STYLISTIC COMPETENCE OF FUTURE LAW ENFORCEMENT SPECIALISTS IN THE PROCESS OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to characterize the features of the formation of stylistic competence of future law enforcement specialists during their professional training in higher education institutions.

Methodology. In the process of studying the problem of the formation of stylistic competence of future law enforcement specialists within the educational process in higher education institutions, a number of methods were used, in particular: analysis of scientific literature on the research problem – to clarify the state of development of the issue and outline the prospects for further research; comparison – to compare the views of different scientists on the problem raised; induction and deduction, systematization and generalization – to formulate conclusions.

The research work was based on the provisions of several methodological approaches, in particular: competence (to determine the place of stylistic competence in the structure of communicative competence in the context of the professional competence of law enforcement specialists in general), activity (involvement of future law enforcement specialists in active educational activities to form the phenomenon under study), systemic (the competence under study is considered as a system containing a number of components), axiological (to form value and worldview guidelines in future law enforcement specialists in the process of performing tasks aimed at the formation of stylistic competence).

Scientific novelty. The article systematizes the opinions of methodologists regarding the formation of stylistic competence of education seekers, outlines the specifics of the formation of stylistic competence in future law enforcement specialists in the context of their professional training in higher education institutions.

Conclusions. It is substantiated that stylistic competence as a component of the communicative competence of law enforcement specialists is based on the mastery of all different levels of linguistic and stylistic means and the rules of their functioning in the field of jurisprudence. It is found that the stylistic competence of law enforcement specialists includes a number of components (cognitive, speech-communication, activity-practical, motivational), the formation of which should be carried out comprehensively in the process of mastering the educational component «Ukrainian language for a professional direction» by applicants. The formed stylistic competence determines the ability of law enforcement specialists to adequately use language resources, to possess various forms of speech behavior in those communicative contexts that arise during professional communication of law enforcement specialists, to perceive and understand oral and written speech. A special role in the formation of stylistic competence of future law enforcement specialists is played by work with text material, aimed at forming the ability to express one's thoughts clearly, developing a culture of discussion, understanding and interpreting texts of various stylistic and genre nature.
